A Day In My Life
As a graphic design student in college, my day-to-day is very different. However, here’s a simplified glimpse into my life and what I do!
I wake up around 8 am, get ready and head to my first class. My classes are all studios, so they last 2 1/2 hours. After my morning class, I get an hour break to grab a quick lunch, work on homework, or catch up with friends. I head to my early afternoon class and work on design or typography. This involves both physical and digital work, primarily using Adobe on our computers. I love to get feedback from my professors and my classmates. After that class is over, I head to my mid-afternoon class before leaving to head home. Once home, I often go out for dinner with my best friend, work on homework together, or watch a movie on the couch. Some nights are busier than others, but most consist of at least a bit lounging. I also spend a decent amount of time with the cats, or do a bit of reading. After long days of school or work, I look forward to putting my pyjamas on and getting ready for bed. That is when I can turn my brain on and really relax before it starts all over again in the morning!
