Ranking of Design Processes

I really enjoy design, but there are parts that I dislike. In this post, I want to rank parts of the design process from Strongly Dislike to Strongly Like. Here’s my ranking:

Research & Discovery — Like

Ideation & Concept Development — Neutral

Wireframing or Drafting — Dislike

Design Execution — Like

Feedback & Revisions — Strongly Like

Finalization & Delivery — Like

As you can see, my favorite part of the design process is getting feedback and making revisions. I don’t always get the best grasp on what is or isn’t working on a project so feedback from my peers is SO helpful. My least favorite is drafting—I struggle with sketching. I tend to get one or two decent ideas and then find it difficult to pump out several more unique concepts. This is something that many designers face—in-depth research is very helpful for this problem, however.
